Transportation
- For everyone's safety, please take one of the appropriate route options to get to the front of our school if your child(ren) will be dropped off or picked up as a car rider.
- DO NOT enter from Alabama Ave or attempt to make U-turns to get into the car pick up lane.
- DO NOT attempt to park on any resident's property
- Parallel park on Elm Street or passed the front entrance on Alabama Ave if you need to come in the building.
- After-school daycare vehicles line up down Tennessee Ave. prior to dismissal to pick up students and it is best to avoid using Tennessee Ave. if dismissal has already started.
- North Carolina Ave is the next best road to take to West Lake Shore Dr to Honeysuckle St. to round onto Alabama Ave. in the afternoons during dismissal time.
No transportation changes will be allowed verbally by phone or from a student. Any changes should be made in writing. The note should include:
- Child's First and Last name
- Details of change and effective date(s)
- Parent Signature
Please be sure to either write a note for each child's classroom teacher or include ALL siblings the change effects in your note if this scenario applies. We will not assume that the change applies to their sibling(s) if not written.
Examples:
- Jane Doe needs to be a car rider the week of Sept 6-10 instead of a van rider.
- John and Jane Doe will begin riding Brigade on Fridays only beginning Sept 2.
